MY FAVORITE BOOK:MOYURAKKHI
The book I have chosen to do review on is Moyurakkhi . The author of the book is Humayun Ahmed (13 November 1948 – 19 July 2012). The book is first published in May 1990. Moyurakkhi is the first book of Himu series. The book starts with the sentence (Hello boy hello), and the readers get the usual jokes, confusion fascination, an extraordinary intelligence and ability to obtain immediate oral of Himu when the story goes on. However, the readers will also know the history of the river of Moyurakkhi by Himu's imagination. Badal and Rinki, the cousin of Himu, love him very much. Himu speaks some philosophical dialogues with his uncle, the father of Badal. In the first part of the book, Himu says, (Everybody is recognized easily in smile. All cry in same style but it is different from man to man while laughing).
This philosophical dialogue represents Himu's philosophical quality. At the last part of the book, the readers will want to love Himu with Rupa who waits every day in the lobby for Himu by wearing a blue colour Sharee. In the concluding part, we will see Himu's restless or infinity journey which will certainly make us more curious; Himu says_" (I walk around all day . My way is not the end . The way I walk, there is no end of aimless journey).
The Main character in this book is Himu; he is the character throughout the book. The real name of Himu is Himalaya. It's being assumed that his psychopathic father has killed his mother so that he can prevent her from interfering with the way he intends to bring him up.
The minor characters are Badal, Rinki, Meera, Surma, Majid and Rupa. These minor characters affect the plot. The Genre of the book is Fiction and novel of isolation. The used language is Bengali, but in few lines are used in English. The author has used good language in the book; it is also easy to read. The dialogue used in the novel is realistic among the characters.
Himu is both the narrator and main character of the book, and he narrates in both the first and third person presenting only what he himself observes. His great knowledge of politics, literature, and contemporary events and the way of talking with the unknown person and some of his relatives, neighbours are great which sometimes offers the reader a different level of witty humour. He is a man of young whose age is maybe between 25 to 35. His appearance is odd and wears a yellow Punjabi and walks barefoot. Himu's vagabond lifestyle highly influences his cousin Badal who tries to imitate Himu all the time. It is seen in the book that he has ESP (Extra Sensory Perceptions) of having an intuition that he never acknowledges.

However, this book narrates a man who is a man of our freedom soul which is kept by the shackle of reality. Because, sometimes, in some point of in our life, we want to make us free from all responsibilities, to fly like a bird, to go beyond our limit. This book looks interesting to me all the way through because there are a lot of lessons which people need to learn from it.
